University Park Code Requirements for Trash Cans
*Trash cans are required to be on a level surface (not more than on foot above grade of alley pavement), must be completely on private property parallel to the alley, and be completely unobstructed and easily accessible for collection from the ally right-of-way.
*Trash cans must be sufficient in number to hold the refuse that normally accumulates on the premises. they must not exceed a capacity of 32 gallons, and they must be equipped with tight fitting detachable lids.
*Trash/Recycling can lids must be tied to a rack, pole, fence, or other permanent structure(not to the trash can by a metal cable, chain, or other means so that it remains in place. The lids must only be removed while containers are being filled or emptied.

For the set-up costs of $95 and $45
per can, I can deliver a rubbermaid 32 gallon Brute trash can and affixed lid as required by code. The $95
is the cost me delivery
and affixing
to a permanent structure. The $45
covers the cost of the can, chain, and fasteners
used to affix the lid properly to a permanent structure. For example if you want 3 cans the cost would be $230(I'll even affix the city's blue recycle can at no charge.
